Holy Saturday, April 11: Day 40: not my will

And he came out, and went, as was his custom, to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples followed him. And when he came to the place he said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation." And he withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and knelt down and prayed, "Father, if thou art willing, remove this cup from me; nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done."

For it has been granted to you that for the sake of Christ you should not only believe in him but also suffer for his sake, engaged in the same conflict which you saw and now hear to be mine.

Thursday, April 9: Day 38: Get Renewed

Put off your old nature which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your minds

Wednesday, April 8: Day 37: in a little while

And after you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, establish, and strengthen you.
To him be the dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

Tuesday, April 7: Day 36: He is faithful.

Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will do right and entrust their souls to a faithful Creator.

Monday, April 6: Day 35---no surprise

Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which comes upon you to prove you, as though something strange were happening to you.

Saturday, April 4: Day 34: Golden

In this you rejoice, though now for a little while you may have to suffer various trials, so that the genuineness of your faith, more precious than gold which though perishable is tested by fire, may redound to praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
